It’s sparkling spring season at the Kanebo beauty house, whose make-up artists have designed seven styles for Monday to Sunday.

“Whichever look, they are effortless make-up regimes requiring some work on the eyes while the rest of the point make-up is pretty easy,” said Tadaaki Higashimura, who was in Bangkok to demonstrate how to get the looks with Lunasol’s Sparkling Purification spring 2016 make-up collection.
Against a fresh and flawless complexion, each look varies in the shades of the shimmering point make-up on eyes, cheeks and lips.
Described as a refreshing translucent look, the Green Sparkling variation can be easily created by applying a wash of pastel green all over the eyelid and defining the eyes with a darker shade from the Sparkling Light Eyes palette. The Sparkling Liner in Sheer Gold then adds a defining and shimmering effect.
“The eye make-up extends to enhancing lashes and beautifying brows. Coats of mascara can make eyes seem bigger while overdoing the length of the brows can make them look smaller,” he said. “When you get brows, eyes and lashes right then you get 10 out of 10 when doing make-up.”
The green eyes are complemented with coral-coloured lips, created by layering lip gloss over a liquid lip colour from the two-in-one Double Coloring Lips.
The Japanese make-up artist rounded off the demonstration by doing the cheeks, which is an easy way to ensure a balance.
“Achieving symmetry is one of the challenges as make-up is about balance while building up a nice dimension on the face,” he said. “For a healthy flush, sweep the blusher firstly upon the cheek bone and then with the remaining lighter amount of powder under the eyes to liven up the eye zone.”
For a sassy spring look, he suggested giving the brows a little glitter with a light sweep of the limited edition Sparkling Liner.
