French authorities were after the guy as well, and that side of the story is depicted in “The Connection” (“La French”), a 2014 thriller that will screen in French with English subtitles at 7pm on Wednesday at the Alliance Francaise in Bangkok. Jean Dujardin, the Oscar-winning leading man from “The Artist” is a hard-driving French lawman in pursuit of the charismatic kingpin portrayed by Gilles Lellouche.
More crime is on the Alliance screening at 7 tonight, with the weekly Thai-subtitled offering, “Vandal”, about a young hood who gets caught up in the graffiti scene. Take note that there will be no French film with Thai subtitles next Friday. on May 13, because there will be a jazz concert by Baptiste Trontignon and Minino Garay.
