That classic touch

POPULAR upmarket ice cream bar Magnum, which is owned by the British/Dutch Unilever company and marketed in Thailand by Unilever Thai Trading, recently launched its latest campaign and TV commercial “Magnum – Taste The Classic” with a star-studded event at Phaya Thai Palace complete with a special performance inspired by the musical “The Phantom of the Opera”.

Sikanya Saktidej Bhanubandh, Intira Thanavisuth, Joe Chung, Natthanan and Patta Sahawat, Duangkaew Bhakdibhumi, Nalinee Worawongwasu, Achiraya Worawongwasu, Monlada Pongpanich, Passavee Payakbutr, Charoonphan Nattavut Trivisvavet, Preyamon and Patpong Thanavisuth, Parva Nakasai and Vatanika Patamasingh na Ayudhya were among the many A-listers who turned out to learn more about the upcoming trip to the Cannes Film Festival by the brand’s new ambassador, |Davika “Mai” Hoorne, who will be representing Thailand at the series of Magnum parties.

“We are delighted to introduce the classic taste of Magnum Classic, Magnum Almond, and Magnum White Almond through our new TV advert, which has been made by an international director and crew,” Suthipa Panyamahasup, vice president of Unilever Thai Trading’s Home Care and Ice Cream division, told guests.

“And we are even more delighted to announce that this is the first time an Asian country has been invited to join Magnum’s annual Cannes event, which this year celebrates a unique way to experience pleasure – ‘Enjoy, Express, and Capture’.”

Davika will be supported by Kullawit Laosuksri, editor-in-chief of Vogue Magazine Thailand, who will groom the actress and create classic looks for the event.

“I am very glad and honoured to be a part of the Magnum Global Event, which is attended by celebrities from around the |world. There are daytime and night parties so, in order to properly groom the Brand Ambassador from Thailand to match the occasion, I have selected dresses that represent the uniqueness of Magnum plus a classy global total look inspired by all three flavours of Magnum,” Kullawit said.
